Welcome to
Upcountry Advocate

Non-Attorney Special Education IEP Advocates

We take a hands-on approach to IEPs, tirelessly teaching families how to advocate for themselves. We believe that a disability isn't an indication of one's intelligence or ability. Our goal is to offer empathetic understanding and support through all phases of the IEP process, from Early Intervention/Preschool to Graduation/Regional Center.

We act as liaisons to help you in meetings when acronyms are flying and making things very confusing. We provide encouraging and honest support for a path that can make you feel alone and unsure. We know it is devastating when you see your child struggling in school and don’t know how to help them. We know your educational rights and can help decode communications, reduce stress, and improve outcomes.

We offer an objective perspective and give you the confidence to be a meaningful part of the IEP team. As COPAA members, we follow their code of ethics. We are dedicated to working on the relationships with schools to ensure the best interests of the students are always the focus.

We excel by helping every student shine by focusing on what they do best. All students are capable of learning and should be given the freedom and support to do so. We want to create a friendly and supportive environment where each student can share their thoughts and dreams. We recognize and validate the experiences, identities, and perspectives of neurodivergent individuals. By embracing neurodiversity, we can create a world that is more accepting and supportive of individuals with neurological differences.
